Account deletion

1. Open the TrimPolar app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings › Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm twice.

Your account is deleted straight away and can no longer be used to sign in.

If you own a boat’s team and others are still on it, the app asks you to hand ownership to one of them first, so the boat is not left without an owner.

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us the name on the account. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it is done.

• Your name, email address, password and the link to your Google or Apple sign-in.
• Your roles, team memberships and any permissions you gave others or were given.
• Your notification, sharing and privacy settings, and your phone’s push token.
• Your test box application.

If others are on the boat’s team, the boat, its Polar and its readings, voyages, notes and polar stay with the team so the rest of the crew can keep sailing with it. Notes and messages you wrote are shown as from “Deleted”.

If you were the only person on the team, we also delete the boat and everything recorded on it within 30 days. Email us within that time if you would rather keep it, for example because you are selling the boat with the Polar.

• Order and payment records for six years, as Canadian tax law requires.
• Activity log entries for up to two years, showing only an anonymous id in place of your name and email.
• Server logs for up to 90 days, and database backups for up to 7 days.

A deleted account cannot be restored. Ask for a copy of your data first if you want one. You are welcome to sign up again later with the same email.
